Program Philosophy

The Faculty of Nursing maintains that high-quality nursing graduates must possess both academic knowledge and professional competence. They must be able to integrate the science and art of nursing, midwifery, and related disciplines in order to provide effective, holistic nursing care across diverse clinical and social contexts. Their professional practice must be grounded in integrity, ethical principles, and professional codes of conduct, with due regard for the social, linguistic, religious, and cultural diversity of service recipients. Beyond academic and professional competence, nursing education must foster the comprehensive development of learners. Graduates should be prepared to live constructively and adapt successfully within diverse societies and cultures and under changing circumstances. They should demonstrate intellectual, communication, and information-technology skills; leadership; intellectual curiosity; commitment to the profession; responsible citizenship; and accountability to themselves and society.

Program Objectives

  1. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of nursing, midwifery, and related disciplines, and apply such knowledge appropriately in nursing practice.
  2. Provide culturally responsive, holistic nursing care to service recipients across all health conditions, in both ordinary and disaster situations, while safeguarding recipients and complying with applicable law and professional codes of ethics.
  3. Communicate effectively in both Thai and English.
  4. Think systematically, creatively, and critically, and make appropriate decisions and develop constructive solutions to problems.
  5. Demonstrate the digital knowledge and competencies required for study, research, professional practice, and communication.
  6. Apply research and innovation-development processes to address nursing and health-related problems.
  7. Demonstrate leadership and management capabilities when collaborating with interprofessional teams.
  8. Act as responsible citizens who uphold moral and ethical principles, respect human dignity, demonstrate compassion, and remain accountable to themselves and society.
  9. Engage in self-directed and lifelong learning to support continuous personal and professional development.
  10. Conduct accurate quantitative analyses and apply statistical methods appropriately in professional practice.
